This squishy yarn comes from the fiber of four alpacas on our farm. Each fleece had similar qualities, but the colors were distinctly different. The dark gray heather with brown undertones resulted from combining gray, white, black, and dark brown alpaca fleeces. Throw in some fawn romney wool to add memory without compromising the luxury feel of the alpaca, and the end product is a lofty lopi style yarn that is a pleasure to work with. Perfect for knit or crochet projects such as fingerless mittens, hats, cowls, scarves.
The actual color may vary slightly from the photographs due to differences in screen resolution. But rest assured, the yarn is amazing!
Recommended care: Handwash in lukewarm water with mild soap (baby shampoo works great). Squeeze out excess water, but do not agitate to avoid felting. Lay flat to dry.
