Plan to join us for this new event. The Great Tennessee Yarn Tour is for fiber enthusiasts to explore yarn, craft, and fiber shops across East Tennessee.
From August 4 - August 27, "Tourists" will be able to visit 13 locally-owned yarn shops, from Crossville to Greeneville and Chattanooga to Kingsport.
Tickets are on sale through July 1, 2023.
Here's what is included for the tour:
1. 3 weeks, 13 yarn stores, 500 miles of endless yarn! The yarn tour can be accomplished at your leisure during the 3 weeks. Check out a few shops each weekend, plan a week to visit all the shops, or spread out the visits over the entire weekend. Each shop has its own personality and unique selection of yarns and crafts. This tour is a great way to discover new yarns and products, meet new people, make lasting memories, and find inspiration for your next project!
2. Commemorative Tote Bag. The tote bag is designed as a functional souvenir, large enough to carry lots of yarn! The Great Tennessee Yarn Tour logo and a list of the 13 shops in the 2023 tour are imprinted on the bag. Quite handy.
3. Printed Guidebook with Shop Information. This is a great reference tool for the tour. Refer to the guidebook for addresses, shop hours, special events, giveaways, deals, and more.
4. Two printed patterns (one knit, one crochet) exclusive for tour participants. We are so excited to share these patterns with yarn tourists. Both of the designers are local to East Tennessee. The knit pattern, Touring Tennessee Knit Shawl, was designed by Leedra Scott. The crochet pattern, The Epic Road Trip Wrap, was designed by Robin Adams. Both patterns were created to use mini skeins that can be purchased during the tour at each shop. Create a beautiful memory of the 2023 Great Tennessee Yarn Tour.
5. Access to purchase the exclusive mini skeins at each shop. Each participating shop will feature exclusive mini-skeins of yarn that are only available to official "Tourists." Tourist can collect a mini-skein at each shop and use them to knit or crochet the 2023 Yarn Tour patterns.
6. Souvenir Sticker. Who doesn't love a cute colorful souvenir sticker for your laptop, water bottle, notebook, etc?
7. Chance to win 1 of 3 Grand Prizes! That's right! We're giving away 3 grand prizes. At the end of the tour, we will draw 3 lucky winners! Each Grand Prize will be different, but equal in value.
