Introducing the first yarn in a new collection dedicated to the felines who call Stewart Heritage Farm home. This exquisite black yarn blends soft black alpaca with black merino for a rich, deep color and a beautifully soft hand — perfect for knitting, crochet, or weaving.
This colorway is named for Mystery, an older kitty who came to live at the farm a few years back. He had his share of ups and downs, but beat the odds with the help of some good medicine and a lot of lounging — usually right on top of the keyboard, or whatever project happened to be in front of us at the time. Though he couldn't hear and slept soundly through just about anything, there was no missing him when he wanted to be heard. He was one special boy.
Stewart Heritage Farm is also home to 14 cats and 4 dogs, in addition to the alpacas, each one here through special circumstances of their own. All are spayed or neutered and receive proper veterinary care. Every purchase from this collection, whether online or in the farm store, helps cover the cost of that care and keeps the doors of sanctuary open for whoever needs it next.
As with most of our farm's alpaca yarns, this one was small-batch processed at a cottage mini mill — so be sure to order enough to complete your project, as an exact match can't be guaranteed on future runs.
